Our Journey with Rev. Ho

Jacob met Rev. Ho around 1978 – 1980 in Kampar church, when both were in their 20s. He furthered his studies in Canada and started joining Mega CMC with Rev. Ho after returning to KL. Both have been with the church for 28 years till today when pastor is about to retire.
Jacob spoke about the years they have walked through together. There was a time when pastor was suffering from depression. He was always there to support pastor, accompanied him to visit doctor, brought him out for a break etc. Their relationship is akin to teachers and friends, brothers and comrades. When Jacob experienced the low tides of his spiritual life, he asked to resign from LCEC. Fortunately, Rev. Ho was there to encourage and support him, advising him not to give up. He wouldn’t have such happy and lively life today if he had chosen to give up in the past.
Although Rev. Ho doesn’t speak much, he will provide a lot of guidance and advice when one asks for help. As a shepherd of church, he handles conflicts with wisdom and appropriately. He doesn’t criticize nor gossip, he is very open and understanding, one who loves and accepts his enemy. The teaching of bible doesn’t only come from preaching, but also through a Christlike life that he is having.
Pastor doesn’t speak badly of anyone, he has unique insights and vision of ministry development and is willing to innovate. He leads the team to work together and makes sure everyone knows the plan.
Today, Mega CMC has around 20 full time co-workers, which is the highest number of co-workers in Malaysia’s church. We have also grown to be the third largest church of the Malaysian Christian Methodist with around 1500 members. On top of that, we have a very comprehensive plan for our ministry works too.

My wife and I have known Rev Ho since 1992. It has been 28 years since Rev Ho began his pastoral journey with Mega CMC. We have witnessed his faith in Christ over the years.
Rev Ho is a true advocate for peace, he rarely argues with others and will never create conflicts. He is full of wisdom and good at article writing. Apart from being proficient in Bible, he is also good at applying God’s word to bless the lives of others. His sermon inspires and touches people’s heart, he is also the spiritual guru for everyone.
Rev Ho is a peacemaker who prefers simplicity over complexity. He believes conflicts can be reduced if we keep things simple. He delegates work to others by trusting and respecting them. He rarely shows his affection to others, but he is very amiable with children.
Rev Ho, we have witnessed your 28 years of service at Mega CMC. You are not just our pastor, but a speaker, leader and mentor. We are deeply grateful to you.
Now that you are going to enter a new season of your life, welcoming a brand- new chapter that God has opened for you, I pray that you will be surrounded by joy and peace with God every day.
